For some reason or another, more and more people choose to keep pets at home. Pets are wonderful companions that can make any place feel like home. Sometimes, however, having a dog might be the single biggest challenge to keeping your house clean. It’s not pleasant when your couch starts to smell like your dog or cat.

In this post, I would like to share some useful tips for you to remove pet smell from a couch：

– With a vacuum cleaner

Carefully suck it along the corners of the couch, and then carefully suck on the couch surface, because pet hair will often be found in these places. Hair also has smell.

– With white vinegar and water

If the smell only remains on the surface of the couch, wipe it with white vinegar and water and dry it. If it is a fabric couch, directly remove the couch cover on the outer layer and wash and dry it or directly change the couch cover on the outer layer.

– With incense

If the pet peed on the sofa, it would be much more trouble. Because the sponge of the sofa has been soaked by pet urine. The smell will definitely affect the taste of the whole room. So, when removing the sponge, put the sponge on the sofa and smoke it near the sofa with incense. In this way, the smoke of the incense can partly penetrate into the sponge of the sofa and improve the taste.

– With disinfectant

In fact, after improving the taste, our biggest concern is that urine will breed bacteria. Therefore, to be on the safe side, we should go to buy disinfectant specially for pets. Spray it directly on the sponge, then spray it carefully along the corners of the sofa. After spraying, keep the ventilation as much as possible, and then lock the door and go out for a turn (try to buy those that have no irritating smell, do little harm to human body, sterilize and deodorize, and have a faint scent).

– Train your pet

In the end, if you decide to continue to keep pets, you must keep your pet clean. Pets like dogs or cats have learned to live with humans and like to please us. But, we still have to train them to avoid some of their bad habits.
